Activities:

To foster the GBV Prevention Networks core values and objectives, an interactive website is updated monthly with the most current GBV resources and opportunities to encourage information sharing among members; a monthly e-bulletin which updates members with the latest news; and a newsletter that discuss topical issues and member perspectives and experiences. To improve member skills, Thematic Working Groups (TWGs) -, training workshops and joint projects are conducted. Capacity building initiatives for members e.g., grants for research, adaptation of toolkits and other activities also take place. The TWGs are semi-autonomous member led groups in areas of interest to members Three groups are currently active. They are Research, Communication Materials and GBV in Emergencies.

Regional campaigns have been carried out since 2004 creating themes and Action and Advocacy Kits for dynamic regional 16 Days of Activism Campaigns. These have contributed to national and regional cohesion and momentum.

Finally, the Network also focuses on Movement building through its Get Moving! Initiative which is designed to raise critical awareness amongst members to further a rights-based approach to GBV prevention. It involves a series of reflective sessions and readers for small groups and staff of NGOs. The Network Speaker Events also foster solidarity and cohesion among activists through member gatherings.
