Peters Primary School Kanyanya
Located in Kawempe Division in Kampala, Uganda, St Peters is the brain
child behind the development of the Good Schools Toolkit. Raising
Voices started working with the school in 2007 to learn more about what
it takes to create a Good School. With a current pupil population of
500 children and 20 teachers, St Peters has been acknowledged as a
model school by the Division Education Office with recommended visits
to the school for Head Teachers, teachers, pupils and Education
Officers to learn more about how St Peters has accomplished its
achievements
Mulago
Secondary School
Also located in Kampala, Mulago is one of the pioneer schools for the
Good Schools program. With a population of 468 students and 18
teachers, Mulago brings on board huge experience on how the toolkit
works in secondary schools
St
Clare Girls Namengo
Chosen from Budaka District in Eastern Uganda, St Clare is an all
girl’s day and boarding school with 1020 children and 26
teachers. The school has adapted quickly to the toolkit and both the
girls and their teachers are more friendly and approachable. Policies
on sexual violence, bullying and corporal punishment have been
developed by teachers and learners and the school administration now
pays more attention to ensuring a conducive learning environment

Gregory Bahai
Memorial Primary School Tilling
Tilling is located approximately 10 kilometers from Kumi town and 2
Kilometers from the newly formed Ngora District administration in
Eastern Uganda. The school has 1212 children and 28 teachers. In the
future, it is anticipated that both St Clare’s and Tilling
will play a vital role in demonstrating how the Good Schools Program
works to other schools in this region of the country
Ojwina
Primary School
Located in the Northern Ugandan district of Lira, Ojwina is an urban
school situated half a kilometer from Lira town with a population of
1018 children and 30 teachers. The school has used the toolkit for the
past 2 years
Kigarama
Central Primary School
Kigarama is approximately 15 kilometers from Bushenyi town in Bitereko
Sub County. It has a population of 680 children and 18 teachers.
Toolkit implementation has been ongoing for the past 2 years

John’s Secondary School Nyabwina
Like Kigarama, St John’s is found in Bushenyi District and
has 1200 students and 30 teachers. Program implementation has also been
ongoing for the past 2 years
