amina

Through My Eyes - Segment #1 - Amina

For Amina, the bustle of a busy suburb of Kampala appears to mirror her own state of mind. On the streets, men make sexual advances at her; at school, a teacher targets her as the object of his desire. Amina is a story of many young girls in Uganda who struggle to escape the sexual violence that they encounter from all corners of their day-to-day lives. It portrays the ingenuity they must summon, the odds they have to beat to simply have access to opportunities to fulfil their ambitions.
