Consultant, Researcher/Data Analyst

Raising Voices seeks an experienced individual to analyze and write up baseline data from national (Uganda-based) and regional partners implementing the SASA! approach for preventing violence against women and HIV. The baseline survey is a short (25 question) quantitative questionnaire assessing knowledge, attitudes, skills and behaviors.

Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate and manage entry of baseline survey data from 14 NGO partners. Note: The baseline is a simple 25 close-ended question survey, approximately 320 surveys from each partner NGO.
  2. Analyze data from baseline surveys.
  3. Write a simple, brief, descriptive report for each partner organization.
  4. Compile overall baseline report for national (8 NGOs) and regional (6 NGO) SASA! partners.
  5. Assist partner organizations to understand the results from their baseline research.

Experience and Qualities

  • Previous experience in quantitative data analysis.
  • Ability to manage multiple data sets.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Access and other relevant data management programs.
  • Excellent analytical and writing skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Consultant can be based off site or work from Raising Voices offices in Kampala, Uganda. Consultancy is 25 days during late August and September. Timing is negotiable. 

Salary

Commensurate with experience.
